Plan Your U.S. Exchange with Us at the EDUCATIO Study Fair!

Have you been dreaming about spending time in the United States to improve your English skills, get to know the culture or to further your career? Exchange programs are a great opportunity that can help you with all this, but you need to plan well in advance.

To provide you with up-to-date information on scholarships and professional exchange programs, the U.S. Embassy will have a booth at EDUCATIO, the largest study fair in Hungary on January 12-14, 2023 at Hungexpo. Register now to attend this free event and meet our EducationUSA advisors from the American Corner Hungary network and the Fulbright Educational Advising Center, representatives of FLEX Hungary, and our Embassy colleagues working on exchange programs.

Students, parents, teachers and professionals from every field are invited to browse U.S. study opportunities and ask questions in person at EDUCATIO.

We are currently accepting applications for the following programs:

Study of the U.S. Institutes (SUSI)

SUSI for ScholarsSecondary Educators and Student Leaders are academic programs whose purpose is to provide grantees the opportunity to deepen their understanding of U.S. society, culture, values, and institutions.
Apply by January 2, 2023.

Ambassadors Fund Summer Work Travel (AFSWT)

The AFSWT scholarship gives university students the chance to spend the summer working with an international team at a traditional American children’s camp, learning about American culture, making lifelong friends, building relationships, improving their language skills in a native environment and using their pocket money to travel around America. The program also gives young people basic skills that they can use in their future jobs and experience how to get by in a foreign country.
Application deadline: subject to availability of places. (The sooner you apply, the better.)

GLC Professional Fellows Program

Hungarian civil society professionals are eligible to apply for a 38-day fellowship in the United States! Application deadline for the GLC Professional Fellows Program Fall 2023 and Spring 2024: January 31, 2023. Full announcement and application form.

Are You An Alumnus?

Have you already participated in a U.S. exchange program? Then you may be interested in our Notice of Funding Opportunity: Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF 2023).

AEIF provides alumni of U.S. sponsored and facilitated exchange programs with funding to expand on skills gained during their exchange experience to design and implement innovative solutions to global challenges facing their community. Since its inception in 2011, AEIF has funded over 500 alumni-led projects around the world through a competitive global competition. On January 26, you may discuss further details about the grant at our virtual Q&A.
