U.S. Ambassador to Hungary David Pressman met with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó for a working lunch on Friday, January 27.
During their meeting, the Ambassador and Foreign Minister discussed a wide range of bilateral and regional priorities, including energy diversification, Russia’s war in Ukraine, and our partnership as NATO Allies. Following their meeting, Ambassador Pressman said: “In this important moment in U.S.-Hungary relations, it was great to meet with Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó to continue our discussion about the challenges our countries should confront together and opportunities to strengthen our partnership.”
Additionally, Ambassador Pressman met with Minister for Regional Development Tibor Navracsics and Minister of Energy Csaba Lantos last week, continuing the United States’ engagements with the Government of Hungary on critical matters of shared interest.
