Congratulations to our IVLP alumna Agnes Lux who was appointed the Advocacy Director of the UNICEF National Committee in Hungary as of November 1st 2014. Agnes participated in the U.S. Government-sponsored International Visitor Leadership Program in 2014 with the focus on “Children in the U.S. judicial system” – an experience she found most rewarding and inspiring.

Agnes had worked as Deputy-Head of Department at the Office of the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights in Hungary between 2008 and 2014. Agnes studied political science and law at the Eötvös Loránd University Faculty of Law (Budapest) where she is now finishing her doctoral studies, her special field of research and thesis being about “children as social value”. She has held lectures at several universities, national and international forums and regularly publishes on the topic of children’s rights. We wish her the best of luck in her future endeavors!
