American Corner Pécs was opened in 2004 and is located in the Zsolnay Cultural Quarter. The Corner works closely with local NGOs, schools, and the University of Pécs. Weekly programs include English language clubs, STEM advancement activities, and robust EducationUSA counseling and workshops.

Flagship initiatives include the Tolerance project providing digital literacy skill development workshops, English drama clubs, and educational advising for the underserved Roma population. The Corner joined several world renowned science programs in the past years, for instance the Hour of Code or Teen Tech Week. The  American Corner Pécs launched the Film Alliance for Civic Engagement (FACE) group whose members create short films depicting challenges of their close environment. FACE aims to engage the youth and encourage them for active citizenship.

American Corner Pécs is an EducationUSA Advising Center providing accurate, comprehensive and current information on studying opportunities at U.S. colleges and universities. Part of EducationUSA, a U.S. Department of State network of more than 400 advising centers globally, the Corner actively promotes U.S. higher education and provides guidance and resources to international students who would like to continue their studies in the United States.

To take the first step toward U.S. studies, visit the website of EducationUSA, your official source on U.S. higher education, then schedule a consultation at the Advising Center at pecsach@gmail.com.
