Event(s): On Saturday, August 29th, 2020, there is a planned demonstration against the Budapest Pride March and the LGBTI community by the 64 County Youth Movement.

Date/Time: August 29 (Saturday) – 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Location/Route: VI., Nagymező utca, in between Andrássy út and Király utca (gathering site) March route: Nagymező utca – Andrássy út – Bajcsy-Zsilinszky út – Deák tér – Károly körút – Astoria – Múzeum körút – Kálvin tér – Vámház körút – Fővám tér – Szabadság híd – Szent Gellért tér – Szent Gellért rakpart – Krisztina körút – Tabán / area bounded by Krisztina körút, Kereszt utca, Rácz Spa (destination / static demonstration site)

Organizer: 64 County Youth Movement (Hatvannégy Vármegye Ifjúsági Mozgalom)

Stated Purpose: To demonstrate against the LGBT march.

Actions to Take:

·     Monitor local media for updates.

·     Be aware of your surroundings.

·     Exercise caution if in the vicinity of large gatherings or protests.

Please note: due to the organizing group’s history and recent provocative actions at public events, American Embassy personnel have been directed to avoid this demonstration.
