Our heartfelt congratulations to the five women entrepreneurs from outside the capital who won a total of $25,000 in funding from the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs’ 10-month program!
The business ideas of the winners cover a wide range of areas: environment and sustainability, family-centered services, growing and farming, automation and data science.
At the closing event of AWE on 23 November 2021, eight teams presented their projects to the jury in 8-8 minutes, of which Liliom Születésközpont, Csiriboo, Mesetérkép Box, nanoPlanet, and Adatfarm Consulting were awarded. A recording of the event can be viewed here.
The winners will continue participating in a mentoring program for three more months, helping them get their businesses off a strong start. We wish them continued success!
In 2021, Hungary joined the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs’ (AWE) global network and launched the Academy through the U.S. Embassy in Budapest in association with The Foundation for Sustainable Enterprises.
The 10-month, free program was open to women with business ideas, who could receive training, personalized mentoring and even financial support. This year, Hungary joined the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs for the first time, which was launched in 2019 and has since then been present in more than 50 countries around the world. The program aims to provide women with the knowledge, tools and networks they need to create and grow their businesses. Through the English-language training program, participants gained up-to-date entrepreneurial knowledge and skills, and built a sustainable business model through facilitated online education and ongoing mentorship.
