Budget Analyst (ODC) – Maternity Cover (January 11)


  • Incumbent serves as the Budget Analyst for the Office of Defense Cooperation (ODC) Budapest, Hungary; which operates independently of the local Department of State Financial Management Section and is not subordinate to that organization
  • Functions of the position include: budgeting, fiscal planning, financial accounting, voucher preparation, and payroll calculations
  • The incumbent’s most prominent responsibility and function is as Funds Certifier for all categories and sources of DoD funds for the ODC, including official travel funding in the Defense Travel System
  • Funds Management responsibility encompasses the Security Assistance (FMS, FMF), OMA (IAC, BAO), Army Family Housing and Direct/Reimbursable Budgets valued collectively at over $225,000.00 annually
  • Incumbent serves as the ODC representative and advisor for International Cooperative Administrative Support Services (ICASS) budget, approximately $400,000 annually, to include monitoring agency budget, verifying workload counts, agreements, services and final invoices


EXPERIENCE: At least three years of progressively responsible experience in accounting and budgeting is required

EDUCATION: College/University Diploma  in accounting, finance or business administration is requiredEvaluations:

LANGUAGE:  Level IV (Fluent) English proficiency is required (This may be tested)

Level IV (Fluent) Hungarian proficiency is required (This may be tested)


HUF gross p.a. 6.276.475 plus additional benefits
