Bridge of Health 2019

Over two million women each year are diagnosed with breast cancer, which causes the greatest number of cancer-related deaths among women. To highlight the importance of early screening in timely diagnosis and treatment, October is designated as breast cancer awareness month.

On September 29, 2019, Deputy Chief of Mission Marc Dillard joined the Bridge of Health Alliance to kick off the month.  Chain Bridge was lit up in glowing pink as participants walked across the bridge, painted a mural that will be shared with supporters, and discussed the earlier presentations on early diagnosis and developments in the field.
