9/11 Memorial Blood Drive

Chargé David Kostelancik and Hungarian Red Cross Director General István Kardos donating blood

The U.S. Embassy and the Hungarian Red Cross teamed up for a seventh year for a memorial Blood Drive to honor the victims and first respondents of the 9/11 terrorist attacks and to mark the U.S. National Day of Service. In total, 35 people donated blood last Friday, including Chargé David Kostelancik and Hungarian Red Cross Director General István Kardos, as well as many Embassy workers.  Our heartfelt thanks go to all the donors, as well as the National Blood Supply Service, the Hungarian Red Cross, and our generous sponsors Burger King and Coca Cola, without whom this event would not have been possible.
