On the National Day of Service and Remembrance, Embassy colleagues and supporters, including offices of the NATO Force Integration Unit, joined our Civil Affairs Military team in giving blood at the 9/11 Memorial Blood Drive. We are immensely thankful to the National Blood Supply Service and the Hungarian Red Cross for making the donation possible and to the over 70 people who donated blood. Americans and Hungarians together made this event dignified and moving. Giving to our communities is a meaningful way to commemorate those we lost.
